How do I obtain a voter registration card?
 
  • How can I check to see if I am registered to vote?
    You may check the status of your Voter Registration online at: Clark County Registrar of Voters.

  • Where can you register to vote?
    You may register in person or before a Field Registrar or at one of the following locations on or before the registration deadline:
    • City of Henderson
      Office of the City Clerk
      240 Water Street
      1st floor, Water Street Entrance
      Henderson, NV 89015
    • Clark County Election Department
    • Department of Motor Vehicles
    • Any Nevada State Welfare Agency or WIC Office
    • By Mail

  • What are the registration requirements?
    • Be a citizen of the United States
    • Be 18 years of age by Election Day
    • Be a Clark County resident for 30 consecutive days and a resident of your precinct for 10 days
    • Must not have been convicted of a felony or other loss of civil rights that would make it unlawful to vote
    • Not be determined by court of law to be mentally incompetent
    • Claim no other place as your legal residence

  • How to keep your voter registration current?
    To keep your voter registration current, you must re-register to vote if any of the following occurs:
    • Change of address
    • Change of name by marriage or other legal means
    • Change of party affiliation

  • What are the registration deadlines?
    The last day to register to vote or update your registration without appearing in person at the Clark County Election Department for the 2008 Federal Election is:

    Primary Federal Election – July 12, 2008
    General Federal Election – October 4, 2008

    The ten-day period for an in-office registration or update at the Clark County Election Department for the 2008 Federal Election is:

    Primary Federal Election – July 13-22, 2008
    General Federal Election – October 5-14, 2008

  • How do I obtain a voter registration card?
    • The Election Department will mail you a Voter Registration Card whenever:
    • You submit a properly completed Voter Registration Application
    • You update your registration data (change your name, address or party)
    • The Clark County Election Department changes your polling place, precinct or political districts
    If you do not receive your Card within two weeks after submitting a Voter Registration Application or updating your registration, or if you lose your card and would like another, please call the Clark County Election Department at (702) 455-VOTE (8683) or send an e-mail to elinfo@co.clark.nv.us.

    The Voter Registration Card will include:

    • Name
    • Residential address and mailing address (if different from residential address)
    • Political party affiliation
    • Precinct number and an indication if it is a mailing precinct
    • Polling place location
    • Political districts in which you are entitled to vote
    • Registration number
