Finance
The Finance Department serves the citizens and staff of the City of Henderson by providing
budget, accounting
and financial management support necessary for efficient operations, prudent decision making and sound
municipal stewardship. Finance Department functions include budget &
strategic management, cash receipts, cash management, accounts
receivable, local improvement district assessments, accounts payable, debt service, financial
reporting, payroll, purchasing, grant accounting and reporting, and business licensing.
Fiscal Sustainability
In 2008 the City of Henderson recognized down-
ward trends in key financial indicators that were just beginning to hit our national economy. Those trends quickly led our country into the “Great Recession” we continue to experience today. The City moved quickly and is closely monitoring the
Fiscal Sustainability of the City.

Business Licensing
Business Licensing Serviceis provided to the general public, business license applicants and existing licensees, ensuring compliance with Nevada Revised Statutes and City business license ordinances.

Local Improvement
& Special Assessment
Districts Local Improvement and Special
Assessment Districts are established under NRS 271, for the construction of
improvements such as streets, water, wastewater,
storm water, and other improvements.
