Station Tour GuidelinesPlease Read Carefully
Setting Up Your Request
All requests are on a first come first serve basis. If your event is scheduled and
special fire operations are set after your selected date, we will contact
you and
reschedule your date.
Please Note:
From November 2010 through January 9, 2011 we will not be accepting any requests for these dates. This is due to end of year training and the various holidays. You will be able to schedule from mid January through mid November 2011, however.
10:00 AM is for morning Station Tours
4 PM is for afternoon Station Tours
No other times are available and at this time. Currently, we are unable to come to schools for special events or classroom visits.
Station Tours are approximately one hour.
NO CAREER DAYS, BIRTHDAY PARTIES, GRAND OPENINGS & VENDOR (STORES) REQUESTS
No Career Days
Henderson Fire & Police Departments are developing a new program designed for
senior high school aged, small classroom environment, and college and adult
groups interested in a First Responder career. This program will be available
in 2009. Neither department will schedule career events for elementary or
middle schools.
No Birthday Parties
Birthday party requests, for fire personnel to appear at a party or to have the
party at a fire station, are never scheduled. Schedule a station tour and then hold
your party at another location.
No Vendor or Business Requests
Due to high call volume and costs, we do not send crews to grand openings or
other types of vendor or business special events and safety fairs.
No Contacting Individual Fire Stations
Please do not contact fire stations or other departments directly. Please fill
out the on-line Event Request Form.
During Your Event – If a Call for Service - Should
Occur Please Note:
- All fire stations are on an "on-call" status, which means that they have to respond to a dispatch for an emergency, even during the station tour.
- If the crew is not at the station when you arrive, please wait, they may be back in 10-20 minutes.
- During a station tour, if crews receive a call for service, you will be escorted out of the station and to a safe place to watch the fire engine leave for the emergency.
- If for any reason your event is cancelled, it can be rescheduled.
