Community Development Block Grant
The Community Development Block Grant Program (CDBG) is administered by the U.S. Department of Housing & Urban Development (HUD). The program is to expand economic opportunities, ensure decent housing, and provide a suitable living environment for citizens.
- Henderson receives a direct allocation of CDBG funding annually from HUD.
- Each year, starting September or early October, the city begins a new application cycle for CDBG project funding
- Projects recommended for funding are included in the "one year action plan."

- Blind Center of Nevada
- Giving Life Ministries' Emergency Assistance Program
- HopeLink (formerly HACA)
