Neighborhood Services
In 2001, the City of Henderson Neighborhood Services Division was created by Council to assist in the facilitation of complicated issues stemming from Henderson's rapid growth. Neighborhood Services strives to maintain positive neighborhood relations, provide information and encourage public participation, promote citizen self-sufficiency, provide affordable and stable housing, preserve neighborhoods, and leverage resources to serve our community.
Neighborhood Stabilization Funds
The
City submitted an
application to HUD to receive $4,055,863 to address the negative
ramifications of foreclosed properties. These funds can only be used to
purchase foreclosed properties and are not for foreclosure
prevention. We anticipate the funds and programs to be available March
2009.
