Project GREEN - Steering Committee

The Project GREEN Steering Committee consists of people who want to make a difference in their community.  With assistance from City of Henderson staff and a variety of technical advisors, they assist with the design, funding, and maintenance issues that drive and impact the habitat restoration.

You are welcome to join us at any of our gatherings:

Come to a Steering Committee meeting: you can just listen or provide input, either way, we welcome your presence.

Come to the Wash when we have a project:

Watch your community in action.

The Boy Scouts are working on getting the rest area benches installed in various locations as well as constructing additional trails.  This youth group is making a huge impact on the project.

Come take a walk in the Wash, bring the dog, the kids, the neighbors kids.  Kids especially love to walk in the wash.  They can hear the birds, especially the quail who call to each other. It is really fun to see the cottontail bunnies.  If they aren't startled, they bunnies just quietly hop on to their next destination when they sense you so you can easily follow their progress as they move away from people noise.
