Elementary school before- and after-school program (follows Clark County School District calendar) 6:45/7:00 to 8:45/9:00 a.m. From school dismissal to 6:00 p.m.

Safekey is a before- and after-school recreational enrichment program held at all Henderson elementary schools. This fun-filled program focuses on crafts, games and special activities as an alternative while parents work. The program offers a variety of stimulating activities designed to help your child grow socially, emotionally and physically, as well as homework time and a snack. Safekey provides milk by way of the USDA Special Milk Program through a grant from the Nevada Department of Education.

When school isn't in session (school vacations, etc.), kids can take part in Kids Zone, which complements the Safekey program. Visit the Kids Zone page to learn more or ask at your Safekey site.

Registration/Payment Methods
Payments are accepted at all recreation centers, by mail and through our online registration system.

Safekey Online Registration Instruction Booklet

Registration is ongoing at all Safekey sites during Safekey hours (Monday-Friday before school and from dismissal time until 6:00 p.m.). Payments are due by 6:00 pm the Wednesday prior to the week attending. Payments received after Wednesday of the week prior will then be charged a daily drop-in rate. Payments can be made at any recreation center, by mail or online. A fee will be assessed for late pickups at $10 for every 10 minutes, beginning at closing. For additional information, please call the Safekey office at (702) 267-4100. Drop-ins are welcome (sorry, no hourly rates). Daily rates are effective after closing on Wednesday. Safekey/Teen Scene families are eligible for multiple child discount rates. Financial assistance is available for qualified families. Check with your Safekey site for rates or call (702) 267-4100.

Convenience Cards
Safekey/Teen Scene convenience cards are available for $40 each. These punch cards can be used to pay late fees, for drop ins, and if you've misplaced a Safekey receipt. Cards may be purchased at our recreation centers. For additional information, please call (702) 267-4100.
