Captain Mancillas is originally from El Paso, Texas. He moved to the Las Vegas Valley in 1984 and was hired by the Henderson Police Department in April 1990.
Law Enforcement History
As a police officer, he served in Patrol and was a field training
officer and a traffic accident investigator. He later was an investigator in the
Narcotics Unit. He was promoted to sergeant in 1996 and worked in Patrol and the
Bike Unit. He was promoted to lieutenant in 2001 and was assigned to
Investigations. He was named captain in 2003 and assigned to Investigations. He
has also served as captain in the East Patrol Command, West Patrol Command and
Technical Services. He is currently captain over the North Patrol Command.
Education
- Bachelor's Degree in Public Administration in Law Enforcement from Nevada State College, anticipated graduation in Spring 2008
- Graduated the 219th session of the FBI National Police Academy
