Henderson Police

Patrol Division

North Community Police Station

The North Community Police Station will serve the residents of the North Division, the area roughly north of I-215, south of Russell Road, east of Pecos Road and west of Pabco Road. The new 35,600 square-foot station will be the first LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) certified building in the city of Henderson. The LEED Green Building Rating System is the nationally accepted benchmark for the design, construction and operation of high performance, energy efficient buildings. The total project cost will be about $16 million, with $10.1 million in estimated construction costs. The remainder of the project budget will pay for design fees, telephone and data wiring, equipment and furniture.

As the city has grown, the Henderson Police Department has been able to expand due in part to a voter-approved sales tax initiative. In addition, the Department expanded from two patrol divisions to three, adding the North Patrol Division in August 2006. Currently housed in the West Community Police Station, approximately 80 officers will be assigned to the North Community Police Station.

The new station will provide an even greater police presence in the area. Residents will also benefit from the new North Community Police Station, providing closer access to police and police services, such as patrol officers, detectives and traffic officers, in addition to support staff. The goal of the city of Henderson Police Department is to work with the residents to keep the city of Henderson the best and safest place to call home.
